Gulfstream VSP (G550) Category Complete Aircraft Freeware / Payware Freeware Details The Gulfstream VSP is the largest and latest development of the Gulfstream line of corporate transports, designed to fly intercontinental distances. The Gulfstream VSP is based on the Gulfstream IVSP, but features a number of substantial changes to suit its different design objectives. The most obvious change is the stretched fuselage, the G-VSP is 8ft 2in longer overall than the G-IVSP. The most important changes though are the advanced new wing design and new BMW Rolls-Royce BR-710 turbofans. The all new wing is being built by Northrop Grumman, and is optimized for high speed flight. Countless Presidents, Royalty, Generals and Business Tycoons have all traveled aboard Gulfstreams. WestWind Executive maintains a fleet of six G550s with N550WE being the second executive aircraft painted in WestWind’s 10th anniversary paint. Named Flagship for the prestige that a Gulfstream brings upon its passengers with its maximum speed of Mach .885 and a range of over 6,750 nautical miles. The G550 is at the pinnacle of executive transportation. All of WestWind G550s include forward gallery and three are equipped with crew rest faculties in the executive lounge allowing for a maximum of 12 passengers with berthing for 5 while the other three aircraft are configured in the hallmark lounge allowing for a maximum of 18 passengers with berthing for 7. These two configurations allow for ultimate range and flexibility of WestWind Executive’s premier customers.
