Welcome to the WestWind Training Center
The Aim of the Westwind Training Center is to
provide you with a type rating for each category of aircraft you
fly. At the end of the training, you will take a Virtual
Check Flight which will allow you to take what you have learnt,
and put it into an operations environment.
As you can well imagine, pilots who attend the
WestWind Training Center have a broad range of experience.
As such, we have set a fairly low level of assumed
knowledge. If you have read the Flight Simulator handbook,
then you will meet the required assumed knowledge.

Our Aims
-
Analysis:
To provide our pilots with realistic organised training on whatever part of flying or area of flight simulation they wish to know about.
-
Design:
Program falls under the concept of "Pilots helping pilots" within our WestWind overall Training Program.
-
Develop:
Instructors will use appropriate real world accurate data to teach specific areas of flying. These areas will be tailored to individual country requirements but will fall within and follow ICAO Rules and Regulations.
-
Implement:
The WTA falls within, and is under the guidence of the Chief Pilot of WestWind, VA. Instructors are selected based on their knowledge and willingness to contribute a meaningful experience to all WestWind Line Pilots in all Categories. Instructor availability is found in the Pilot Training portion of our WestWind Forum.
-
Evaluate:
Successful completion of the task requirements, based on a mutual understanding between the Instructor and Student, is the basis of a successful Training Experience.
