C037: Formula 1 Race Support |
---|
Westwind airlines has been contracted to provide race support for Formula 1
teams by transporting race equipment such as cars, tools, chassis, etc. to
locations around the world. There are 10 teams that will compete for the
Formula 1 title and pilots may choose which team they want to fly
support for. Pilots will pick up team equipment at the team headquarters
airport listed below the weekend prior to the first race of the season and
transport that equipment to Melbourne, AU. After that pilots will depart
Monday or Tuesday after each race weekend to the next race location.
Use the current year schedule to determine when and where you will fly. This
will allow this charter to be used for 2018 and in the years to come.
Plan to carry as much cargo as your chosen aircraft will allow within safe
operating limits and multiple stops for fuel may be required.
Pilots are requested to depart their favorite cargo hub to either of the FIA
approved airports the weekend prior to race weekend so as to arrive at
destination the Monday of race week and depart the Monday or Tuesday following
the race to their original departure airport. Pilots and crew will be rewarded
with passes to the events surrounding the race and will also stay at the hotel
as the respective team that they have flown.
