P277: Virtual Southern African Development Community |
---|
The Virtual Southern African Development Community (vSADC) has been in existence since 1980. It was formed as a loose alliance of nine majority- ruled States in Southern Africa, known as the Virtual Southern African Development Coordination Conference (vSADCC), with the main aim of coordinating development projects in order to lessen economic dependence on the then apartheid South Africa. The founding Member States are: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. There are fifteen Member States at present. WestWind Executive Charters have been hired by the organization to fly delegates from member states to other member states and individual conferences outside of the summit meetings. The flights required vary as the Organization’s summits rotate around the member states. Also, the delegates may wish to visit other government leaders to discuss plans. Our job is simply to fly the delegates from city to city. Firstly, pilots must fly to the Cape Town (FACT) mini-hub, where there will be a selection of Executive Aircraft available for use. Fly to one of the member state capital city airports listed below and pick up delegates. Fly them to one or as many of the following cities they wish to visit. Finally, fly them home.
