P331: Central America Volcano Assignment |
---|
A small number of students along with a Vulcanologist from the University of Hawaii have picked up a class assignment to study Volcanic Activity in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. WestWind Executive Charters now has in place from the University a contract to fly the staff and students from PHNL to MROC if you choose to do so or just pick up the clients at MROC and then fly them to their chosen airports to complete the assignment. Once the students have arrived in San Jose they will spend the night before taking off to the volcanic destinations the next morning to conduct their research for the assignment. Meet them at the General Aviation Hangar at MROC find out which location they want to study that day and fly them there. Once the Students have conducted their research for the day return them to San Jose (MROC). Repeat these daily flights out of MROC as many times as the students wish until they have had the chance to visit a number of the different active and dormant volcano sites. Once their research is concluded they will need to return to San Jose (MROC) for their return flight to Honolulu so that they can prepare their presentations. NOTAM: Beware of volcanic ash as you are flying around these active volcanos, this stuff gets into your engines and very bad things could happen to the equipment and the people on board.
